INSTITUTIONAL POLICIES
Non-Discrimination Policy
Beyond Beauty Institute admits students without regard to race, age, sex, gender, sexual preference, creed, religion, color, citizenship, national origin, ethnic origin, genetic information, or disability.
Certification of Graduation Policy
Beyond Beauty Institute is committed to providing the highest quality training for its students so that, upon program completion, they are not only thoroughly qualified to practice all aspects of cosmetology, nail technology, and/or esthetics, but are also well-trained in the operational aspects of working in or managing a salon.
For this reason, the Institute does not compromise its standards of instruction or limit the training experiences provided to students. The following standards must be met to certify a student as a graduate:
• Every student must successfully complete all required clock hours for their program. No hours will be excused, and any missed hours must be made up.
• Students will not be certified as graduates until all required program hours have been completed.
• Requests for certification to sit for a State of Nevada or any other state licensing exam will not be approved until all required hours are completed.
• Students are required to perform clinical tasks such as laundering, cleaning, and inventory management as part of their training. These activities are educational and do not qualify students as employees or entitle them to compensation.
• Signing the Enrollment Agreement confirms that the student understands and agrees to all conditions stated above.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Policy (FERPA)
Beyond Beauty Institute complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, which protects students’ rights regarding their educational records.
Students have the following rights:
• The right to inspect and review educational records within 45 days of submitting a written request.
• The right to request corrections to inaccurate information.
• The right to a hearing if a correction request is denied.
• The right to confidentiality of records, except for directory information (name, program, attendance dates, honors, and activities).
• The right to request that directory information remains confidential.
• The right to obtain copies of their records.
• The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education if FERPA rights are violated.
Beyond Beauty Institute may disclose information without student consent in the following cases:
• To school officials with legitimate educational interests.
• To financial aid providers, accrediting agencies, or in compliance with legal or emergency situations.
• To other institutions where the student intends to enroll.
Code of Conduct Policy
Respect for the Institute’s instructional process and learning environment is mandatory. Any misconduct that disrupts classroom or salon training will not be tolerated.
Students who engage in inappropriate behavior may be suspended for the remainder of the day and required to make up missed hours, including applicable over-contract fees.
Any student who commits a second offense of unacceptable behavior may be subject to termination.
